The Douc Langurs can be found almost anywhere between the lowlands and the mountainous regions. They usually stay in the upper levels of the canopy. They are very social and live in groups from four to fifteen in size usually. Adults weigh an average of twenty-four pounds. Due the them preferring to be in trees, they excel at climbing and jumping. Their diet consists of shoots, leaves, buds, fruits, and flowers. The female gives births to one or two offspring. Threats to this species are being hunted to food and sport and habitat destruction. Some populations though live in reserves. The population size is unknown but believed to be in just a few thousand.
