Scientific Name: Leiopelma Hamiltoni
Listed as Endangered in: New Zealand
Hamilton's Frog lives in coastal forests and boulder banks. It needs to be in damp environments or else it will die off quickly. This species is only active at night in the day it rests. Adults can reach up to the length of five centimeters. Their diet consists of insects and other invertebrates. This species develops fully inside its egg, so once the female lays the eggs it is the males job to guard them. Threats to this species include predators and disease. Conservation measures underway include being protected by law and a closely monitored population.
